Century is our new maths and English platform, and any parts of a course requiring Century, such as the enrolment maths and English initial assessments, or any Functional Skills work, are accessed through Aptem.
The initial assessments can be accessed by using the links on step six of the enrolment process. When using Century for the first time, learners will need to click the link to reset their password in order to set a password and gain access to the platform. The e-mail address will be the same as the one used for Aptem.
After enrolment, any Functional Skills elements from Century can be accessed from the relevant section of the Learning Plan. Once in Century, learners can also toggle along your learning elements on the 'My Path' dashboard.
Problem 1: forgotten password or never set a password (or receiving the message "your account was never enabled with a password").
Solution 1: use the "forgot your password" option on the Century log in page. The e-mail will be the same as the one used for Aptem.
Problem 2: On step six of enrolment in Aptem, there are no links to take the English and maths assessments (just empty blue boxes).
Solution 2: The learner's e-mail may currently be in use by Century; this could be with a previous provider, college or school, which may be preventing Aptem from automatically creating an account for the initial assessments, which is why the links do not appear. The learner (or other requester if contacting on behalf of a learner) can contact Customer Support (support@lifetimetraining.co.uk or if on live chat, ask to speak to advisor) to ask the Century Team to check this and if necessary clear any previous accounts. Once actioned by the Century Team, the initial assessments will then be accessible immediately via the links in Aptem.
Problem 3: After clicking the links to take the initial assessments in Century, nothing loads.
Solution 3: Learners may need to allow pop-ups on their device. To allow pop-ups, go into your web browser's settings, find the "Privacy and security" or "Site settings" section, then navigate to "Pop-ups and redirects".
Problem 4: learner has started a new course but there are no diagnostics showing on Century.
Solution 4: after being enrolled, it can take up to two working days for the diagnostics to be added and show on Century.
Problem 5: The learner cannot see the diagnostics listed in the course elements on the "my path" section of Century.
Solution 5: The diagnostics should be the first thing that show up on Century on the 'My Path' section of the dashboard (from the top-left corner):

Two things you can check if you can't see them:-
- if the arrow on the left-hand side is blue, that means you can click it to scroll back to the beginning of the contents.
- if there are too many contents to search through, you can click the orange and green dots to toggle off the content you don't want (such as removing English in order to only search maths content).
