What do I do when I finish my enrolment?
If everything has been completed on the steps of the enrolment process, and you see the message “relax…” after pressing Finish, then nothing! A member of our team will be in touch once your enrolment is complete. However, it is worth going back over it before you press 'Finish' and check every step to ensure everything has been completed, including the initial assessments, which all learners need to do regardless of other qualifications.
Please note, when going through the Enrolment process on Aptem, learners will need to upload an ID document. This could be a birth certificate, passport, driving licence etc. However learners do NOT need to upload proof of ID for their next of kin, only for themselves.
What do I do if I can’t make my Meet Your Coach (MYC) session?
If you to need to rearrange your MYC, the best thing to do is contact the person who organised it.
The link for your MYC session will have been sent to you via e-mail, by the person who organised it, and has the subject “Apprenticeship Enrolment”; you can search your e-mails for this title, and we advise checking your spam/junk folder and deleted e-mails folder if you can’t find it.
Please note, Customer Support cannot rearrange this session for you.
What do I do if my manager cannot make my MYC?
If your manager cannot make your MYC, then good news – it doesn’t need to be rearranged. Instead, an alternative supervisor can attend to sign the relevant paperwork and this person only need be present for around half an hour at the end of the session. To arrange this, let your coach know and your coach can contact the site to arrange for a suitable person to attend.
What happens if I get a new manager at work?
Sometimes changes at work mean you need a new manager assigned to you on Aptem to sign your documents and review your progress. To get this updated, let your coach know and your coach can request the relevant changes be made.
Why am I getting a blank screen on Aptem when I try to load my learning plan?
This can happen if Aptem has undergone an update or maintenance, but your personal device is not loading the latest version. To sort this out, we recommend you clear the cookies and cache on your internet browser, and then restart it and log back into Aptem.
Do I need to do the English and maths Initial Assessments(IAs)?
Yes! Regardless of any other qualifications in these subjects, every learner needs to do the initial assessments in English and maths just so that your coach can get an accurate, up-to-date idea of your skills in these important areas. For more information, see our Initial Assessments FAQ.
How do I join my meeting?
Some meetings you have will be held in person, and some will be remote -usually via Teams or Zoom. If you ever need support with joining these, in particular for online links or invitations for remote meetings, contact your coach, who will be the person that arranges them, and who can help you with this information.
You can also search for the invitation; it has the subject “Apprenticeship Enrolment” and you can search your e-mails for this title, and we advise checking your spam/junk folder and deleted e-mails folder if you can’t find it.
Where are my Apprenticeship Assessment (previously known as EPA) results?
If you’ve recently completed an AA/EPA, your results won’t be uploaded automatically to Aptem but rather your coach will let you know these as soon as possible.
Why do I sometimes get problems logging in and why is my user-name sometimes not recognised?
There are different versions of Aptem available, depending on your job role and training provider, and sometimes if people access Aptem by searching for it on Google and clicking into one of the top results, it may not be the correct version. This can mean your user-name is not recognised, or you cannot reset your password. We recommend you save the URL https:// lifetimetraining.aptem.co.uk/pwa/auth/login as a bookmark and always use it to access Aptem.
How do I change my name, e-mail, number or postal address in Aptem?
All you need to do is click the grey circle at the top right of the Aptem screen (with your initials inside) and choose ‘Settings’. Then, choose ‘About You’ where the details can be updated. You can log in with an old e-mail address before you update it, as the address just serves as a user name. Name and postal address changes can be ‘requested’ here and will go to our compliance team for approval, after which your account will be updated.
Logging Resource Centre topics
The Resource Centre topics don't need to be logged against your learning; these are just there for your information and reference.
Creating a signature
You can create a signature by going to the main Aptem screen, clicking your initials at the top right (in the grey circle), and select 'settings'. Then select the option 'signature sample', where you can choose (or draw) a signature and press 'save'.

Then you can go back to enrolling, and select this signature when required.
Where can I find my ULN?
Learners in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland will be given their ULN by their school or further education college. It may also be printed on their exam certificate by awarding bodies. The ULN also appears on the student’s Lifelong Learning Account, which they can access through the National Careers Service.
Acceptable ID
Acceptable forms of ID including driving licences, passports and birth certificates. Please note, a driving licence does not represent proof of residency so if used as proof of ID, it will need to be presented alongside a passport or birth certificate if you are a British national.
